| Brief bio | Alhassan Siiba is a PhD candidate at the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies (SKHS), Queen’s University, Cananda. His doctoral research focuses on the intersection of climate change and globalization of food systems and how they impact non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
Alhassan completed his B.Sc. in Human Settlement Planning from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and his M.Sc. in Transport Planning from the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS), University of Leeds, United Kingdom. His M.Sc. was sponsored by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, through the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. His Ph.D. is also supported by the International Development Research Centare (IDRC), through the IDRC International Doctoral Research Award. |
